"Alter-ego" is the term given to the drawings that appeared to the left of the screen during the closing credits of every Daria episode. The drawings usually depicted one or more characters in outlandish outfits or situations (or even, in a few cases, as national monuments like the Statue of Liberty).

All images were obtained from the episode end credits contained in the Daria: The Complete Animated Series DVD box set. Not only did this allow for the clearest possible images (compared to VHS captures), it provided the images from the season 5 episodes, which were usually not broadcast (MTV instead showed promos and other crap during the end credits in Daria's final year).
